Symantec endpoint protection is not updating
Step 7) Monitor System Allow 24 hours to verify that Live Update is now working properly.
Monitor the system for a few days to ensure that updates are downloaded and installed properly.
I have a Symantec Corporate Edition 10.01 since 2006 and the definitions stopped updating the first week of July 2013.
I know these corporate editions never stop giving updates like defender.
The filename is Procedure: Step 1) Check the Live Update version installed.
Step 2) Live Update Installer Assume the wrong Live Update version is installed on the system, locate the Live Update installer shipped with your release of Endpoint Protection as per above.
Step 3) Remove Live Update and install the correct version for SEP 12.1 - Uninstall "Symantec Live Update" from the Windows Control Panel, - Reboot the server, - Install the Live Update shipped with your release of Endpoint Protection.
So there was something wrong with the virus definition update engine.
I tried to manually launch Live Update on SEPM various times, but no use, Every time update all other definitions excluding Antivirus updates.
